Develop stronger fingers, stay injury-free, and climb harder than ever. For longer.
The counter-intuitive approach to training
that crafted the strongest climber in the world
Strength matters in climbing! The stronger your fingers, the harder you climb.
The stronger your body, the less likely you are to get injured.
In this course, Alex Megos and his coach Patrick Matros will show you how to gain strength, become more flexible, and stay injury-free so you can climb harder for longer.
Patrick has been Alex’s coach for over 15 years and their approach to training has not only helped Alex to become one of the world’s strongest climbers, but also to stay incredibly flexible, healthy, and injury-free. So not only does he send hard, he can keep climbing consistently.
Get Stronger With The Tools You Have Available
You will learn how to train effectively for climbing – with whatever tools you have available. You will learn how to train on-the-wall, off-the-wall, and how to use and get the most out of hangboards, spray walls, the Kilter board, campus boards, your regular bouldering gym, and your own body.
You’ll improve your body awareness, climbing efficiency, coordination, and body tension. Your fingers will get stronger so you’ll be able to crush the smallest pinches, comfortably use pockets, and crimp on the tiniest holds. Plus you’ll improve your lock-off and contact strength, and increase your endurance. You’ll be better prepared for dynamic moves as well as harder problems. And, through increased flexibility and strengthened antagonistic muscles, you’ll stay injury-free even when pushing your limit.
The training methodology Alex and Patrick developed not only targets every aspect of training for climbing but is constructed in a way that allows you to get the gains you seek with ultimate flexibility and simplicity.
How to Train Without Sacrificing The Fun
If climbing is pure fun for you, and you never cared much about “training”, but finally want to get stronger, or make sure you remain injury-free, this course is for you.
If you’ve tried out training plans in the past and found yourself getting bogged down in the overwhelming schedule or strictness of the plan, Alex and Patrick’s approach will be the perfect fit.
And, if you’ve been climbing for decades and have experience with countless training plans, you will discover nuggets about training you haven’t heard anywhere else that will further finetune your approach.
With Alex and Patrick’s training approach, simplicity rules. You don’t need a fancy app or even a spreadsheet. You can just make notes on your phone, or on a scrap of paper.
Easily Craft Your Own Customized Training Plan
With what you’ll learn, you’ll have the ultimate control: As you go through the course, you’ll be empowered with the knowledge to make your own decisions and build a plan based on your strengths, weaknesses, and climbing goals. Plus, Alex and Patrick will show you how to build the ultimate flexibility into your plan, so you’re never forced to train something you don’t feel like training on any particular day.
Whether you’ve already been climbing for a few years and are now looking to “train” for the first time, or if you’ve been climbing for decades and want to refine your approach to training, this course will give you the guidance you need to make you stronger, more flexible, and keep you injury free.
