DON’T JUST TAKE
OUR
WORD FOR IT
In July 2024, we announced the first-ever Altitude retreat. All seats sold out within 24 hours. Since then, we have held five retreats. Here’s what just some of the participants have said about their experience:
“This trip was awesome!! Climbing for 3 days with a stellar group of people. The team at Altitude goes above and beyond to make every moment the best it can be. They are organized and they know what climbers want. If your thinking about taking a climbing trip, Altitude is the team you can trust.”
Taylor L. (27, Utah, USA)
“If you’re even considering going on a retreat with Altitude, do it. You absolutely will not regret it. The Mallorca retreat with Chris Sharma was truly an unforgettable experience and allowed me to challenge myself in ways I never thought possible. I would do it again in a heartbeat.”
Sahlea T. (29, New Mexico, USA)
“It was amazing to be able to climb with Magnus and Chris. They were both approachable and genuine. This was such an amazing opportunity to try something I probably would have never done on my own. The events are so well thought out. You can tell the Altitude team really cares. I really enjoyed the different types of dinners after climbing, and how Magnus and Chris participated in those.”
Knut-Sigurd K. (50, Washington, USA)
“The April 2025 Mallorca climbing retreat was amazing! Everyone was extremely supportive and welcoming. It was great to meet and connect with climbers around the world. I was a little intimidated about the retreat at first, but I am so glad I went!
The Altitude team did an amazing job planning everything. They did such a great job accommodating to everyone’s skill levels. They also went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt comfortable. The guides we worked with at Rock and Water were also great. They were very knowledgeable and friendly and made sure we all got as much climbing in as we wanted to.
I was also blown away by Magnus and Chris. They were extremely personable and friendly. Getting to DWS with them was one of the highlights of the retreat. I also enjoyed witnessing the passion and love they have for climbing. I left the retreat feeling so motivated and inspired.
10/10!”
Sara H. (30, Texas, USA)
“10/10! It was such an awesome time!!! Would do it again in a heartbeat! Everyone was so awesome, from our hosts to the guides to Magnus and Chris. It was such a welcome environment!.”
Jeremy B. (38, Michigan, USA)

FAQs
How many people will be participating?
We want everyone who participates to have meaningful climbing time and plenty of opportunities to connect with Magnus and other climbers. With that in mind, we only have a maximum of 16 slots available.
Can I bring a family member?
We can’t accommodate any non-climbing partners/observers of registered participants. We do have options to choose your roommate if you’ll be traveling with a climbing partner, so do let us know if that’s the case.
What are the physical requirements?
To get the most out of this experience, you should be comfortable climbing around 6a or 5.10a on top rope in the gym. You should also be fit enough to hike up to three miles on varied terrain.
What kind of gear should I bring?
So you don’t have to worry about lugging your gear, just throw your climbing shoes, harness, helmet, and chalk in your bag, and we’ll cover the rest. However, if you prefer to use your own gear, you’re welcome to bring it along.
What is the cost?
The price for everything above is $5,995 USD. Payment can be made in full or through three monthly installments of $1,999 USD.
What kind of room will I have?
By default, our pricing is for a shared room with another climber of the same gender. This is done to foster community and bring the group together. Each room has a full bathroom.
Don’t mind sharing a bed with a friend or partner? A “duo room” can be arranged for $5,495 each. (Limited number available.)
We also have a limited number of single-occupancy rooms that can be arranged at an additional cost.
Any rooming preferences can be mentioned in your application.
